BUTTON is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Cambourne Village SUrvey 2013

Got one of these today. Having read it etc. I suggest some caution when filling it in. I imagine the results will be used to justify future decisions, so be wary of the terminology in conjunction with the numeric weighting method.

Take question "5" - "Expanding Cambourne beyond the Master Plan"

I don't want any expansion beyond this for a number of years. BUT, how to answer it?

If I put a "1" (Low importance) this can be interpreted as I have a Low objection to more expansion, when what I really mean is building more isn't something I want and therefore unimportant to me.

If I put a "7" (High importance) This can be interpreted as I think it is important to build more when I really mean it's important to me there isn't more building.

Statistics can be manipulated to get the desired result and the language accompanying these seems worded to allow that.

I therefore recommend making full use of the "comments" box for each!

I was not aware of this and surely it is very premature when the results of the housing consultation are not yet known.

I agree with you Roger - the whole questionnaire was dubious in how it asks the questions, and as for his letter/newsletter - awful awful awful!

I have been asked to make it quite clear that this questionnaire was sent out by COUNTY councillor Lister Wilson who hopes to be re-elected in May, he left the tories and will stand for UKIP.
It is NOT from the developers.
Quite why he wanted to ask the questions when they have been comprehensivly answered in the recent consultation just ended I will try and find out.
I will be igmoring it - should it land on my doormat.
Hopefully there will be a Cambourne resident standing as an independent.
Not me you may be glad to hear
